Dick has been in the business of growing business most of his life. Though his roots are in Melrose, he adventured in Alaska for 26 years while working in the development of commercial fisheries. From bush planes to small boats to Jacob's ladders, he's traveled from Ketchikan in the south, to north of the Arctic Circle—and it all spelled adventure! "Snowmachines" and outboards were serious business and the failure of either could mean a frigid two-week walk or a one-way ticket to the "Kuchtaka." |
